The exam for Certified Hummingbird Professional (Hummingbird BI) validates that the successful candidate has achieved a professional level of expertise, and demonstrates technical competency in the following areas:
  • Successfully installing Hummingbird BI Server
  • Successfully installing Hummingbird BI Query User/Admin and Reports
  • Configuring BI Server to meet the needs of the business
  • Creating Groups and Users and setting permissions within BI Server
  • Creating and maintaining a Portfolio structure within BI Server
  • Using BI Admin/User (Fat and Thin Clients)
  • Creating and configuring Data Models
  • Setting Permissions and Preferences on Data Models
  • Creating different Queries and Reports

    The exam is open book. Candidates may bring any notes, classroom books and laptops. The only material not allowed is a copy of the test or its questions/answers in any format. Exam participants are also restricted from discussing the exam with any outside parties or other exam participants during the specified testing period.

    To achieve the CHP (Hummingbird BI) certification, candidates are strongly recommended to attend the following Hummingbird Education Services course at one of our corporate training centers or Authorized Training Center partners:

  • 399 Implementing Hummingbird BI with BI Server

    In addition, it is recommended that candidates have attained a level of hands-on, real-world experience with the product.

    Certification Exam Format
    The CHP (Hummingbird BI) Certification Exam consists of 80 questions. The test time limit is 2 hours. A passing score is 80% or better, which equates to 64 out of 80 correct answers. The written test includes question formats such as multiple choice, choose all that apply, fill-in-the-blank, and true or false. The breakdown of the questions is as follows:

  • Using Hummingbird BI – 40 questions (Covered in Course 399)
  • Creating Data Models – 25 questions (Covered in Course 399)
  • Configuring, installing, and administering Hummingbird BI – 15 questions (Covered in Course 399)
