This is really a UNIX thing rather than Exceed.
The way I do it is to use the Korn shell. Then if you have the
environment variable EDITOR set to vi, you can use vi keystrokes and
commands to edit your command line. In terms of recalling previous
commands, hit ESC to take you out of insert mode and then k scrolls back
through commands and j scrolls forward. To edit a line use h to move
left and l to move right, x deletes the character under the cursor and i
takes you back into insert mode. This is an extremely brief summary of
some of the most important keystrokes but vi is an extremely complex and
powerful text editor. Some hate it, some love it, I can live with it!

Subject: [EXCEEDUSERS] how can I recall my last command

This email has been received from an external party and
has been swept for the presence of computer viruses.

When running an Xclient window, how can I recall the last command I
typed?
In DOS, with DOSKEY installed, you simply have to press the up arrow key
to
recall the previous command you typed.
When I do this in an Xclient session, up arrow returns junk, like: ^[[A

Steve
