Hello,
This is a problem with the XInputExtension. It can be disabled as a
workaround by going to Xconfig -> Protocol -> Extensions. In that window
uncheck the XInputExtension on the left and right sides. After you do that
you Exceed will run normally. A patch is available from Hummingbird tech
support to fix the problem. The XInputExtension is used for allowing the
use of Unix style pointing devices through Exceed.
