G'day everyone,

I recently upgraded to Exceed 8.0 (from 6.2) and am now unable to login
to a linux server that previously I was able to log into without
incident. I am able to get a login screen, however logging in causes a
SIGSEGV in either the kdmgreet or krootimage processes, which dumps me
back to the login screen (occassionally performing a server reset, which
I assume means that X crashed completely on the linux box).

Other details:
Exceed is running on Windows 2000 Server SP4
Exceed 8.0 (upgraded from 6.2)
The server is running Debian unstable (sid)
Kernel: 2.6.7
XFree: 4.3.0
KDE: 3.1.2

Has anyone seen this behaviour? If so, is there a solution to this
problem?

Cheers,
Peter

PS. this problem is completely unrelated to my previous post.
