Re: How to make focused X applications on top of Windows applications

We're having the opposite problem (also using Exceed 8.0.0.0 with Windows
XP).
If a Windows application has focus and is on top, and we pass over an X
application window (e.g., an xterm), the X window is immediately raised to
the top, even though we don't want it to.
We want to have "follow the mouse" focus where you can access the window
just by hovering over it with the mouse, but we don't want it raised in
front of any other applications (Windowx or X) without explicitly clicking
on it (anywhere on the window, not just on the borders).
I've tried every combination of settings in Xconfig, but nothing will stop
the X window from being raised in front of any other window whenever
"follow the mouse" focus is used (as opposed to "explicit" focus).
I'm hoping that someone knows how to solve both Charles and my issues.
Mark

>---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Hello,
I am using with Exceed 8.0.0.0 with Windows XP 5.1. I'd like to make an X
application shown on top of any Windows applications whenever I click on
this X application. I checked the option in "Xconfig->Display and
Video->Advanced Settings->On Focus Raise Window to Top" and "Force X
Application Window to Foreground" but none of them is working. I
could do this with Exceed 7.0 without setting anything. Can you
please tell me how to do it?
Thanks.
