That message is very misleading!!!
My experience is that it means that name resolution is not correct.
Verify that both machines (server and client) can resolve each other's
names.

Subject: [EXCEEDUSERS] Secure Shell and SuSE gives Unable to connect to
host using specified start method

On Windows I'm using Hummingbird Connectivity 9.0 xstart and trying to
use Start method "Secure Shell".
Connecting to a machine on which SuSE 8.2 is installed works fine.

BUT: connecting to a machine on which SuSE 9.0 is installed gives the
following pop-up:
"Unable to connect to host using specified start method".

When using ssh from another Linux/Unix machine to a SuSE 9.0 machine
gives NO problem !!

Am I the only one with this problem ??

Regards,
Henk Vosmeijer
