There are three things you must do.

1. On the Server you are connecting to make sure that the dtlogin daemon is
running.
2. In the exceed config: Screen Definition/Window Mode - Select Single.
3. In the exceed config: Communication/Mode - Select XDMCP-query and
configure the XDMCP-query Connection Host with the IP address of the server
you are connecting to.

This worked for me.
