Sabrina,
I am using 7.3 and the enable=true. There is no 1 or 0. it's
enable=true. Any ideas? Thanks,

Subject: Re: Linux
Hi Desiree,
There are some Linux systems on our network, running KDE X Windows
interface, but they are not appearing in the Exceed broadcast list. Why
not? I would like to be able to access the Linux systems through Exceed.
Are these Linux hosts in the same subnet as you Exceed Xserver is in?
If it's a different subnet then you need to edit xdmcp.txt file on your
system (windows) and add the Linux host name or IP on each line. One
name or IP per line.
What version of Linux do you have?
If you have 7.1 then you need to edit these two files on the Linux side
and then reboot your system
1) /etc/X11/xdm/Xaccess and remove uncomment the line that indicates -
#any host can get a login window
2) /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf and change in the [xdmcp] section
from - enable=0
to - enable=1
This should let you get the linux machine on the chooser broadcastlist.
have a good day,
Sabrina
