Herve,

Exceed 3D is has never been part of the standard Exceed distribution. So
you still need the Exceed 3D Add-on installed before your GLX application
will function properly.

Subject: [EXCEEDUSERS] Stil GLX Extension Problems

Hi everybody,

I've developed an OpenGL application that worked perfectly well in a
unix/sun/solaris 8 environment. Now, when I connect my Windows NT4 PC to any
unix workstation (through Exceed 7.1.0.0), I get the following (and well
known) error message :

GLUT: Fatal Error in viewer [<= my app's name] : OpenGL GLX
extension not supported by display: berenger:0.0 [<= my PC]

I know that for versions of Exceed earlier than 7.0, Exceed 3D was required
to support GLX extensions. But it seemed to me that Exceed 7.1 had this
features built-in... Am I mistaken ? Of course, I've checked the GLX box in
: XConfig=>protocol=>Extensions..., but it still doesn't work. Could it come
from the video card of my PC (ATI RAGE128 PRO II)... I don't know. Damn.

If anyone had an idea, I would be very grateful to him (her), Thanks,
        Hervé
