Exceed crash when closing app

Exceed crashes when I close any Exceed application including their demo
applications (Atlantis, Blue Pony, etc.). This problem happens when running
Exceed 7.0 and 7.1. I've also tried the patch for 7.0 up to 7.0.0.20 and
that does not help. The problem is happening on a Toshiba laptop(Satellite
2805-S201 with S3 Savage/IX Video Card) running Windows 2000(no service
packs).
