Were you able to resolve this problem? I'm experiencing this problem,
too, but only when connecting to a fast machine (dual 2.8GHz with
multithreading running linux 2.4.20-8smp kernel). I edited my client
(Win98) win.ini file to turn tracing on:

  [Exceed]
  ReadOnWriteBlocked=0

to no avail. Exceed xterm windows disappear after a few minutes.
This is true only if connecting using Hummingbird (Exceed 7.0). If
the connection is made using a native xterm window from another linux
machine, the xterm window remains open until I direct it to close.

If any registry settings on the Windows client machines need to be
altered, could you please tell me what those changes need to be in
order to keep the xterm windows from disappearing?

Thanks in advance,
--Ross
